Dr. Van der Merwe joined Guisachan Family Medicine in 2022. He provides care for patients of all ages in our clinic, at the hospital, and in long term care facilities.
Dr. Van der Merwe sees patients in the office on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursday
DR. JENNIFER PARSONS
Family Physician
Dr. Parsons teaches medical students and family medicine residents and provides care to patients of all ages at our clinic. She also cares for patients in long term care facilities.
Dr. Parsons sees patients in the office on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. She works outside the office on most Fridays. Dr. Parsons practice is currently full and closed to new clients.
DR. ZIETS HENDRIKS
Family Physician
Dr. Hendriks joined Guisachan Family Medicine in 2018. He practices family medicine with obstetrics and he cares for patients of all ages at our clinic, the hospital and in long term care facilities.

DR. BRIAN MACKAY
Family Physician
Dr. Mackay joined Guisachan Family Medicine in 2023. He teaches medical students and residents and provides care in our office, the and in long term care facilities.
Dr. Mackay also serves on the Board of the Central Okanagan Division of Family Practice
Dr. Mackay sees patients in the office on Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays. He works outside the office on most Tuesdays.
DR. MIKE PURDON
Family Physician
Dr. Purdon joined Guisachan Family Medicine in 2013. He teaches medical students, family medicine residents and international medical graduates and provides care to patients of all ages at our clinic.
Dr. Purdon sees patients in the office on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays. He works outside the office on Wednesdays.
DR. HERMAN MENTZ
Family Physician
Dr. Mentz joined Guisachan Family Medicine in 2023. He grew up and trained in South Africa and cares for patients of all ages. He has worked in Australia and in rural communities in British Columbia and he has added expertise in Aviation Medicine
Dr. Mentz is available for appointments Monday through Friday and he provides care over the phone, in person and by video.
DR. PHILLIP BLOM
Family Physician
Dr. Blom joined Guisachan Family Medicine in 2023. He grew up and trained in South Africa. He works part time at our clinic and offers same day care for urgent issues. He continues to also work in rural settings and has added expertise and training in anesthesia
